Homeschool Sewing

Discover the joy of sewing in our Homeschool Sewing class, tailored for students ages 8 and up! This hands-on class provides young creators with the skills to design and craft their own projects, fostering creativity and confidence with every stitch. Guided by experienced instructors, students will learn the fundamentals of sewing in a fun and supportive environment.

In this class, students will:

  • Learn basic and advanced sewing techniques, including threading, stitching, and using a sewing machine.
  • Create unique projects such as tote bags, pillowcases, and simple clothing items.
  • Explore fabric selection, pattern reading, and creative design ideas.

This class is perfect for students looking to develop a lifelong skill while expressing themselves through fabric art and design. Pl ease note that sewing machines will not be provided! Students must bring their own sewing machine to class with them.

Days and Times: Homeschool Haven: Starting August 11th: Mondays from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM ages 8 and up.

Siblings: Do you have children in different age groups who both want to do art? Contact Miss Sarah to discuss the best session option for your students!

Cost Per Class: Homeschool Haven: $375 for 17-weeks. Plus a $25 supply fee to cover fabric costs throughout the course. Living Love Collective: $300 for 12-weeks. Plus a $25 supply fee to cover fabric costs throughout the course.

Step Up: If you will be using Step Up for Students to cover the cost of class, please proceed to the checkout and use code “stepup”. This will reserve your spot for the class. Payment can be made directly through the EMA marketplace. Search for “Gulf Coast Scholars” and select the correct amount. Please note that registration and payment must be submitted before the class begins.

What to Bring

Supplies: Students must bring a sewing machine to each class. Extra needles for your sewing machine, fabric scissors, bobbins, and thread are highly encouraged for purchase as this will be used at home as well. Fabric for in class activities will be provided.

Dress Code: Students should wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit messy during art activities.

Sarah Dibeler, a Florida native, is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida Gulf Coast University. With six years of experience working with children and three teaching endorsements, Sarah is committed to creating enriching learning environments that inspire young minds to thrive. Passionate about personalized instruction, she believes in empowering students to reach their full potential.

Tiani Rosado is a painter and versatile artist based in Fort Myers, Fl. Tiani’s artwork is known for it’s bright colors and dream – like subjects. When she is not showcasing her artwork at local shows and galleries, she is teaching classes for the youth. With a background in education and 8 years of experience making and selling her artwork, Tiani provides the perfect safe space to create, have fun, and learn something new about art.
