K-1 Academics

K-1 Academics is an engaging and supportive class designed for students in kindergarten and first grade to strengthen their academic skills in a fun and hands-on way. This program introduces young learners to foundational concepts in reading, writing, and math through interactive activities that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. With plenty of opportunities for exploration and practice, students will build confidence in their academic abilities.

In this class, students will:

  • Practice early reading skills through phonics, vocabulary, and storytelling activities.

  • Develop writing skills by focusing on sentence structure, spelling, and creativity.

  • Strengthen math skills through hands-on activities and problem-solving challenges.

Perfect for young learners, K-1 Academics helps children build essential academic foundations while fostering a positive attitude toward learning—all in a supportive and enjoyable classroom environment!

Schedule

Days and Times: Starting August 12th: Tuesdays 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for students in grades K-1.

Instructor: Miss Sarah

Siblings: Do you have children in different age groups who both want to do class? Contact Miss Sarah to discuss the best session option for your students!

Cost Per Class: $375 for 17-weeks

Step Up: If you will be using Step Up for Students to cover the cost of class, please proceed to the checkout and use code “stepup”. This will reserve your spot for the class. Payment can be made directly through the EMA marketplace. Search for “Gulf Coast Scholars” and select the correct amount. Please note that registration and payment must be submitted before the class begins.

With six years of experience working with children and three teaching endorsements, Sarah is committed to creating enriching learning environments that inspire young minds to thrive. Passionate about personalized instruction, she believes in empowering students to reach their full potential.

Tiani Rosado is a painter and versatile artist based in Fort Myers, Fl. Tiani’s artwork is known for it’s bright colors and dream – like subjects. When she is not showcasing her artwork at local shows and galleries, she is teaching classes for the youth. With a background in education and 8 years of experience making and selling her artwork, Tiani provides the perfect safe space to create, have fun, and learn something new about art.
