About Us

Our 2nd–5th grade programs are designed to engage growing learners with hands-on, enrichment-based classes that support academic growth, creativity, and critical thinking. Gulf Coast Scholars offers a diverse mix of subjects—including STEAM, art, life skills, and nature exploration—tailored to this age group’s curiosity and independence. Students can join one class or build a custom schedule across multiple offerings and locations.

Homeschool Sewing

Sewing introduces students to the basics of machine sewing, building confidence through fun, hands-on projects in a creative and supportive setting. Recommended for students ages 8 and up.

Home Economics

Home Economics is a hands-on class where students learn essential life skills like cooking, cleaning, sewing, and budgeting through fun, real-world activities that build confidence and independence. Recommended for students ages 11–16.

Homeschool Art (2-5)

Homeschool Art (2-5) helps students in grades 2-5 develop their creativity through guided lessons in various art techniques and mediums. Students will explore color, texture, and composition while building artistic skills in a fun and supportive environment. Recommended for students in grades 2 through 5.

Art in the Barn (Ages 8+)

Art in the Barn (Ages 8+) is a creative class where students explore painting, drawing, and mixed media in a unique farm setting. Recommended for students ages 8 and up.

Kidpreneur Class

Kidpreneur Class is an engaging, real-world class where students explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on business building. From brainstorming ideas to launching a mock business, students will gain practical skills in branding, budgeting, and more. Recommended for students ages 11–17.

STEAM 2-5

STEAM 2-5 is an exciting, hands-on class where students dive into the worlds of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through creative, project-based learning. Each week features a new challenge or experiment designed to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Recommended for students in grades 2–5.

Core to Canvas Camp

Core to Canvas Camp is a dynamic, six-week program where young artists dive into the wonders of the natural world while connecting them to the Elements of Art. Each week, students will explore a new theme—like dinosaurs, landforms, or weather—through hands-on projects that blend science, creativity, and imagination. With a balance of guidance and open-ended exploration, campers build artistic skills, spark curiosity, and create meaningful works of art inspired by nature. This camp is all about discovery, expression, and fun! Recommended for students in grades K–5.

Falling for Art with Decoupage

Falling for Art with Decoupage is a creative four-week program where young artists explore the cozy colors and textures of autumn through the art of layering and design. Each week, students will discover new ways to use decoupage techniques to transform ordinary materials into beautiful seasonal creations—like leaf collages, decorative jars, and mixed-media fall art. With a balance of guidance and open-ended creativity, students will build artistic confidence, experiment with color and composition, and express the warmth of the season through their work. This camp is all about creativity, texture, and fall-inspired fun! Recommended for ages 7–14.
