Beginner Sewing is a fun, hands-on 4-week class designed for students ages 8–13 who are ready to learn the basics of sewing in a supportive and creative environment. Students will build confidence with a sewing machine while learning essential sewing skills and creating projects they can be proud of!

In this class, students will:

  • Learn sewing machine basics, including threading, bobbin use, stitching, and safe machine operation.
  • Practice foundational sewing skills such as measuring, cutting, pinning, seam allowances, and straight stitching.
  • Learn how to follow simple patterns and sewing instructions.
  • Explore different fabrics, stitches, and basic sewing techniques.
  • Create fun, age-appropriate projects that allow students to practice their new skills while expressing their creativity.
  • Develop patience, focus, fine-motor skills, and confidence through hands-on sewing projects.

Perfect for beginners with little to no sewing experience, this class gives students a welcoming space to learn, create, and build valuable sewing skills they can continue using for years to come!

Days and Times: Tuesdays beginning September 7th 10:15-11:15

 

Cost Per Class: $135 for 4-weeks plus $15 supply fee
